Airbnb: Most of us are familiar with airbnb for vacations, but you can also use it for short term monthly rentals as well. Additionally to save on housing you can search for single bedrooms in a shared house allowing you to find much cheaper living arrangements sharing with roommates.

Turo: This website provides car sharing services with personally owned cars you can rent directly from the owner. You can rent daily, weekly, monthly or for a set amount of time.
